After 40+ years in the General Practice of Law concentrating in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Real estate, and Corporate Law I retired from the firm of Howard, Hardyman, and DiVerde of Rockford, Illinois to start up my new firm of the Law Office of William J. Howard exclusively offering Trust and Trustee Services.
I began my career in a Trust Department, and when I entered Private Practice I continued to offer Trustee Services. I serve a niche of Trustee Services for smaller trusts in the area of $5,000,000 in which my firm is able to provide personalized Trustee Services for lower fees than traditional Bank Trust Departments and Trust Companies offer. I refer Estate Planning drafting needs to my previous firm which continues to be an excellent and highly rated Estate Planning firm.
My firm acts as a Trustee for living trusts, testamentary trust, and charitable trusts; and provides Trust management including assessing the needs of beneficiaries, making discretionary distributions, liquidating grantor and testamentary trusts; and supervising trust asset management and tax preparation with highly qualified firms.
